HOW TO BECOME A PERSONAL TRAINER AT WELLBEING FITNESS
Wellbeing Fitness is a unique personal training establishment with two branches, situated in Towcester and Brackley, Northamptonshire. It is not a gym in the normal sense of the word: each branch consists of two studios where clients are given exclusive use of one of them with their trainer during sessions. In addition we run six-week courses with a maximum number of nine clients per class.
Courses are, among other things, for Boot Camp, Pilates, Trim and Tone and specialist offerings such as Learn-to- Run.In addition we have experts in dietetics, nutrition, osteopathy, sports massage, health checks and fitness testing.
To be a Personal Trainer at Wellbeing Fitness, you will usually have completed (or be about to complete) the Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. Alternatively you may have completed a degree in Sports Science or similar. You would be employed as a full-time or part-time personal trainer between 34 – 40 hours a week. Unlike many other establishments, you would be paid a full salary like any other job. We do not ask you to pay rent for the studio, we do not expect you to bring in your own clients or to work on a commission basis. If you have a massage qualification it would be an advantage but it is not essential. In addition, we operate a generous bonus scheme so it is possible to increase your basic salary, according to your initiative and expertise.
What we DO expect (in addition to your skills in health and fitness) is that you will be committed to the job and to the high quality of service we offer. You will be smart in appearance, punctual, personable and able to talk to clients easily. You will be flexible and willing to work additional hours when needed (for example when colleagues are ill or on holiday). You will be enthusiastic about taking the opportunities of in-service staff training, which will be offered on a regular basis.
Experience is not a requirement, as we will provide all the training that will be needed to do this job to the highest standards.
You will be joining a team of more than ten fitness professionals in a small, friendly environment whose experience ranges from recently qualified personal trainers to highly experienced, specialist, medically qualified personnel (like osteopaths and registered dietitians). Because no one at Wellbeing Fitness works on commission we have been able to create a supportive environment where more experienced trainers help and assist the less experienced. In addition we welcome people with individual strengths and are very open to suggestions for ways to improve and expand the business.
We are a rapidly expanding company and are looking for additional staff on a fairly regular basis. If you are interested in knowing when particular posts become available, and/or would like more details, please send your CV to email@example.com.
